Voiceless Grant

On 24th November 2008 the Society was awarded $20,000 by Voiceless in their 2008 grants program. Thanks to Voiceless for the award and also to Bio-Distributors of Tasmania who contributed $4,000 to it. The grant will fund a freely available survey of vegetarianism in Australia. Its aim will be to not only find out how many vegetarians and vegans there are in the country, but also look at people's attitudes to animals, and through publicity associated with the survey, encourage them to take up lifestyles that don't rely on animal products.
